No body double for Nargis

She might be just one film old in the industry but Nargis Fakhri seems to be very serious about her job. A few days ago, the actress was scheduled to shoot for an underwater sequence in John Abraham’s upcoming film Madras Cafe. “Usually, actresses aren’t too comfortable performing such adventurous scenes. So Shoojit Sircar offered her the option to use a body double,” says a source close to the film.
But to Shoojit’s surprise, Nargis turned down the offer. “It took her a while to make up her mind about performing the stunt but she went ahead with full conviction,” adds the source. It took a few takes before the shot was okayed. “What impressed everyone was the fact that she wasn’t feeling too well that day but she still took charge,” the source says.
Even though her debut film Rockstar was a success, Nargis is yet to find acceptance as an actress. Looks like she is leaving no stones unturned to make it.
