No delay in Aurangzeb

While it is his project with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra (Gunday) that is hogging all the headlines, another project of Arjun Kapoor’s is far closer to completion. Aurangzeb, the fate of which rests on Arjun’s talented shoulders, is about two months away from hitting the marquees.

“Since Arjun has been busy with other assignments, there were some doubts about Aurangzeb’s schedule progressing as planned. However, work on the film is proceeding very smoothly and I can inform you that there won’t be any delay whatsoever in the film’s release,” said a crewmember connected to the film. “There are plans to splash out on a massive campaign as this is Arjun’s first release after Ishaqzaade.”
Set to release on May 17, Aurangzeb incidentally marks the debut of Sasha Agha, yesteryear actress Salma Agha’s daughter. It also has several senior actors like Amrita Singh, Rishi Kapoor and Jackie Shroff coming together.
Confirms Rafiq Gangjee, vice president for marketing and communications at Yash Raj Films (which is producing Aurangzeb), “Yes the shoot is complete and the film is on schedule. We’ll be out with the first look soon enough.”
