No dog-fights for these guys
When Emraan Hashmi (a star in the making, and one who shares a comfortable relationship with director Milan Luthria) was signed on alongside Tusshar Kapoor (whose home production The Dirty Picture is) for the Silk Smitha biopic, everyone expected a tussle for screen space to take place. But sources from the sets of the highly anticipated film tell us that the two actors certainly didn’t engage in any catfights — or the male version thereof. In fact, they developed a rapport that was quite surprising.
“Vidya Balan aside, the stars of The Dirty Picture are Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi. With Naseer saab being above ‘competition’, everyone expected there to be a certain amount of friction between Tusshar and Emraan,” a trade watcher explained.
Tusshar says, “I knew what I was doing in the film and so did Emraan. He is a very easy-going guy with no insecurities whatsoever. It was good to work with him.” The high praise is reciprocal, as Emraan too admitted that working on Good Boy Bad Boy years ago had already created some amount of camaraderie between the two actors, adding, “Moreover, we don’t have many scenes together in The Dirty Picture. Sorry to disappoint those expecting dog-fights!”
