No lady luck for Arjun

After the success of his debut film Ishaqzaade, Arjun Kapoor was looking forward to working with established names like Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in his second film Aurangzeb. But looks like the actor will have to make do with newcomers, as according to our sources, YRF has decided to cast newcomers in the film.

While the film, where Arjun will be seen in a double role, is ready to go on the floors in September, the female lead has not been confirmed yet. “Being paired opposite big names adds weight to a film as well as the co-star. And Arjun was hoping that a big name will be paired opposite him in Aurangzeb,” says a source close to the actor.
But YRF threw Arjun’s plans off track, when they announced that they are looking for newcomers to be cast opposite him. “Aurangzeb will be a high voltage drama. It’ll be an out-an-out Arjun film. The actresses don’t have a big role. We didn’t want to waste a big name by taking her for a small role in the film,” says a YRF spokesperson.
Well, looks like Arjun will have to wait for some more time to work with the superstar women of Bollywood.
