After the Aishwarya Rai-Madhur Bhandarkar showdown over Heroine, a lot has been said about producers potentially having actresses sign a no-pregnancy clause when taking up a lead role. But if there’s one actress who won’t be signing any such contracts, it’s the feisty Sushmita Sen. “If any such clauses are included, I will show the producer the door,” says Sush when quizzed about her take on the issue Bollywood is currently debating. “It is like allowing somebody to dictate terms to you. If you do not believe that I am professional, then don’t sign me; and if you believe I am a professional, then don’t question my professionalism and tell me what I can and can’t do in my personal life.”
