No two ways about it
No sooner had the brouhaha over Rockstar died down than Imtiaz Ali and Ranbir Kapoor made headlines by announcing that they would be working together again, on the film adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s Two States. But Ranbir and Imtiaz themselves have not confirmed the development.
“Ranbir is clueless about where and how the news started circulating. Now that he has wound up Rockstar, he has to return to Barfee. Director Anurag Basu and the unit have been waiting for him to allot bulk dates for the film. So that’s his priority as of now,” a little birdy tells us.
Moreover, Ranbir certainly hasn’t discussed the project with Imtiaz, as reported. “Right now, Imtiaz is not going to actively work on any project. Yes, he has read many scripts but nothing has been finalised as of yet. He hasn’t spoken to Ranbir about Two States or any other film as of now,” our source added. Imtiaz’s associates have also denied the talk of an upcoming film on Tibet. “It’s all humbug,” says an associate.
So where does that leave poor Chetan Bhagat?
