Non-performance is not an option: Ajay

At this time of the year, actors are busy raking in all the moolah they can, from performances at some New Year bash or the other. Then come performance opportunities at awards shows, and the chance to make some more money. But one actor who stays away from the whole set-up is Ajay Devgn. Bankable star he may well be, but it’ll be a long time yet before we see Ajay prancing on stage to his latest hit number from Golmaal or Singham. “I’d rather do things that I’m comfortable with. The thought of live performances on stage makes me uncomfortable,” admits Ajay.
If we can’t see him on stage, we certainly can see him in all his glory on screen. Ajay is currently working on Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan and says he’s having a great time. And what about the pressure to deliver another hit, now that Ajay has the bankable tag to live up to? “It just makes me more responsible about living up to the standards that I’ve created for myself,” he says with a shrug.
We’ve always known Ajay is a man of principles, and this confirms it.
