Not a strand out of place

Bollywood’s very own fashionista, Kangna Ranaut’s obsession with looking perfect has always got mixed reactions from the industrywallahs. While some applaud her for her meticulous approach, it sometimes becomes an issue for some filmmakers.

Not so long ago, Kangna was shooting with Sunny Deol for Bhushan Kumar’s I Love New Year in New York. Ranaut’s look in the film is inspired by her idol and Hollywood icon, Audrey Hepburn. From what we hear, to make sure she gets her look just right, Kangna and her stylist would daily work on her hair for 6-8 hours. “Kangna would reach the location hours before everybody else, so that she would get time to fix her hair. She didn’t want the shoot to get delayed and hence would start really early,” says a unit member.
This is not the first time Kangna has gone the extra mile to get her look right. For her role in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai she had asked Ekta Kapoor to spend `20 lakhs on her wigs.
We just hope the actress puts as much effort in the performance as in putting together her look.
