As much as she would have loved to be cast in the song, the glamour queen insists that there is no discomfort between Kareena and her. In fact, Saifeena had invited Malaika and Arbaaz to dinner at their suburban flat after the release of the song. “Bebo and I meet for lunches and dinners even otherwise.

There’s never an agenda behind our meetings,” clarifies Malaika. However Malaika was given her screen time to shake a leg with brother-in-law Salman in the film. Was that her decision?
“I don’t interfere in the creative aspect of filmmaking. I was fine when I didn’t do a full-fledged song and I was fine when I was asked to make a small appearance in the Pandeyji track. Like I said, Arbaaz and Salman take a call on the creative side,” says Malaika. She admits that every time she is offered an item number, she has to run it by her husband. “Arbaaz has a great sense of music and I seek his approval before I take up a song,” reveals Mrs Khan.
