What’s in a name? Well, plenty if you’re Karan Johar. Ever since he announced his remake of the Hollywood film Stepmom, Karan has been in a dilemma over what to call the desi version. The buzz is that Karan has finally settled on We Are Family.
Karan had earlier tentatively titled the film Love You Mamma. However, he wasn’t completely satisfied and asked friends and fans to suggest a new one. After fans wrote in contributing various names, Karan short-listed a few like Love You Maa, We Are Family, Hamesha, Forever and Ghar.
The film, starring Kareena Kapoor, Kajol and Arjun Rampal, traces the heart-warming tale of a terminally ill divorcee who has to accept the new woman in her ex-husband and children’s lives.
We Are Family is being directed by Siddharth Malhotra and is expected to have an October release.
