Packed up line for Akki despite flops
Despite the lukewarm response Patiala House received at the box office, Akshay Kumar hasn’t lost hope. The actor has a lot of films lined up this year, many of them action oriented.
At a recent awards ceremony, Akshay launched his forthcoming Once Upon a Time in Mumbai II in such great style that the crowds demanded a repeat performance. The actor made a grand entry and mouthed a few dialogues on stage. Buzz is that Akshay will be playing Dawood Ibrahim’s role in the film, a part that Emraan Hashmi essayed in the first part. While the first part was set in the 80s, the sequel will be set in the 90s. It is likely to go on floors by the end of the year.
Akshay will also be starring in Shirish Kunder’s Joker, said to be made in 3D. Apart from this, there is also Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s untitled venture, to be directed by Prabhu Deva. The film will go on floors in August.
