Parents are a girl’s best friends. Sure, some may prefer diamonds, but that’s certainly not the case with Bipasha Basu. After the spate of controversies she’s been involved in — all surrounding her love life — Bips seems to have decided that she needs her support system right here in Mumbai. Accordingly, she’s arranged for her parents to shift base to the city.

“Bips has always been independent, from an early age,” a friend of the actress revealed. “She’s handled all the ups and downs of her professional life by herself. But back then, the Basus knew she had John for support. Now they feel she might need emotional support. The new apartment is just five minutes from Bips’ own house. She’s ecstatic that her parents have agreed to the move!” — RK
