By now everybody knows that Dharmendra will be playing Esha Deol’s onscreen dad in their home production Tell Me Oh Khuda. But not many know that it was on Esha’s insistence that the hit pair of the 70s, Dharmendra and Hema Malini are all set to make a comeback on screen.
Sources say, “Earlier Hema Malini was looking out for an yesteryear heroine to play Dharmendra’s wife in the film. But it was Esha who put her foot down and insisted that both her parents act opposite each other in the film.” Eventually, they agreed and stepped on board and now they will be seen together after a gap of almost 30 years.
The film tells the story of a girl played by Esha who goes in search of her biological parents. Esha, who’s practically being relaunched, is pinning all her hopes on this one. Maybe her parents’ onscreen presence will impart the Midas touch.
