Parmeet keen on Shahid-Anushka
Parmeet Sethi, whose directorial debut Badmaash Company, was one of last year’s above average grosser, has also opened up new avenues for the actor. Ask him about a possible career shift into filmmaking, and he cannot control the laughter. “Forget newer doors opening for me; I have already entered the biggest door there is — Yashraj Films. I am enjoying working with them,” he says.
Contractually bound to the studio to make two more films with them, Parmeet is currently concentrating on his sophomore offering as a director and simultaneously working on a couple of his own scripts. “I am scripting two concepts I have. In the next few weeks, I will decide which one to go for,” he revealed.
Parmeet adds that the lead pair of Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma who served him so well in Badmaash Company, might be retained. “I certainly hope to repeat them again. I will be more comfortable working with them, as they were also there in my debut film. But it depends on what the script demands. It will ultimately be Aditya Chopra’s decision. He is the one who has to worry about the commercial part of the film,” Parmeet said.
