A patriotic touch to Lee’s debut

This is just in: While not much has been written about tennis star Leander Paes’ debut film, beyond the fact that it will, well, mark his debut, it seems Leander is keen to make a point with his first film: He wants it to have a patriotic touch. He has insisted that the makers release the film in time to coincide with Republic Day next year.
The word is that Ashok Kohli’s Rajdhani Express, which stars Leander in his first off-court role, is looking to refresh the Rang De Basanti feel. The team has even decided to add in a few patriotic elements. And Leander is fuelling the new approach by asking the filmmakers to push for a January 26 release.
The January 26 deadline will not be too difficult to meet considering that the film was supposed to release in December this year. “The film was delayed for some reason, which no one is willing to disclose,” a source tells us.
