The friendship between Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar is common news in the industry. In fact, many even think they are more than just good friends. However, in recent months, there have been talks of the two falling out over professional issues.
But with SRK co-producing Student of the Year with Karan, their friendship seems to be back on track. Also, the two have planned their forthcoming films very well and during the festive season, it will be these two who would dominate the box office. “Currently, Shah Rukh’s Ra.One is the only film due for a Diwali release. Since he has announced the release day so far in advance, nobody else is daring to release their films on the same day,” a trade source said.
What this means is that other producers who eagerly await the festive season are now left disappointed at missing out on it. “Karan Johar has already slotted his tentatively titled venture Short Term Shaadi for Dussehra, thereby ensuring he and close friend SRK have booked the entire celebratory season for themselves,” the source added.
