When you sign up for a film featuring Emraan Hashmi, you pretty much expect a certain level of intimacy. Especially so if you have already worked with the man the industry knows as the “serial kisser”. But none of this could have prepared Prachi Desai for the levels of steaminess that were expected from her in Jannat 2.
“The original script didn’t have any lovemaking scenes, and Prachi was thought to be ideal for it. However, the Bhatts felt the erotica quotient needed to be increased,” says our well-placed source. A few scenes were then added, but the end result became so risqué that Prachi decided to step down altogether.
Though Prachi had done a few intimate scenes with Emraan in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, she wasn’t prepared for such heavy duty romance. “It was all very clear. Mukeshji is very clear about what he wants to give the audience, and they parted ways with Prachi on an amicable note,” says a source close to the Bhatts.
And that’s the story of how Esha Gupta, former Miss India, stepped into Jannat 2.
