Prakash and Sudhir part ways on Inkaar
At the time of its announcement, Inkaar was supposed to be a joint
collaboration between filmmakers Prakash Jha and Sudhir Mishra. But with the former no longer associated with the project, things took a different turn.
However, those associated with the project insist that nothing is wrong between the filmmakers. A source close to the film says, “Yes, Jha saab is not connected to the film any longer and the decision was taken a while ago. Neither he nor Sudhir wanted to create
a hullabaloo about this. It was an amicable settlement and the production house kept the ball rolling.”
In the past Sudhir and Prakash have collaborated on films like Yeh Saali Zindagi and Khoya Khoya Chand. So the sudden disassociation was bound to raise certain questions. But Sudhir brushes away all negative speculation. “Nothing happened really. Prakash got busy with his own film Chakravyuh and it was becoming difficult for him to continue with Inkaar,” he says. There were no creative issues either. “We have worked together in the past and share a good equation. He is a director himself and understands the creative needs of a director,” Sudhir adds.
Inkaar aside, Prakash won’t let go of his blue eyed boy Arjun Rampal anytime soon. The two will join forces on Satyagraha, slated to go on floors this April.
