Prateik quick to learn the tricks

While Prateik was widely panned for his disastrous films ranging from My Friend Pinto to Ek Deewana Tha, he did manage to find ways to keep himself in the news throughout. So even while his films were bombing, Prateik found a link-up here (Amy Jackson) or a fall-out there (Sanjay Leela Bhansali), with the end result that he never really went out of sight.

The latest buzz is that the entire Prateik-Amy romance was orchestrated to create publicity. “They are good friends, but they realise the perks that come with being together. They are aware that promoting themselves as a couple will get them media attention and endorsements. Their close friends know that the relationship isn’t for real,” says our source.
So while his contemporaries look to act opposite established names, Prateik is having to make do with the likes of Amy or Evelyn Sharma. “He is desperately looking for sustenance. Despite being a good actor, it’s his liaisons that make headlines,” the source adds.
