Proving he’s the better action star

What Shah Rukh can do, Salman “Khan” do better. That we assume, is what’s going through the Dabangg star’s mind these days. And no, he isn’t trying to best SRK by buying an IPL team of his own. Instead, Salman is going all out to ensure that the action sequences in Ek Tha Tiger supersede SRK’s Don 2 stunts in every possible way.
Now, the action scenes for Don 2 that were set in Thailand had gained quite a bit of appreciation from fans and the industry alike. So Salman wanted something extraordinary for Ek Tha Tiger — scenes for which are incidentally, also being shot in Thailand. “Director Kabir Khan and his crew are doing everything they can to ensure the Thailand schedule gives them some great shots,” said a source connected to the film.
Salman has previously shot action sequences in Thailand, the last for his film Ready. “However, that was more comical than hardcore action. He was seen riding a tuk-tuk and pulling some desi moves. But Ek Tha Tiger’s sensibilities are very different. Being a spy thriller, you can imagine the kind of visuals that Kabir will be able to capture,” our source added.
