Randeep gets sidelined again

Even though the makers of Jannat 2 have categorically stated that it is a solo-hero film with Emraan Hashmi leading from the front, sources close to Randeep Hooda, the other actor in the film, haven’t taken too kindly to it.
Director Kunal Deshmukh, however, maintains that Randeep was in the loop right from the start. A source close to the director says, “He has always maintained that Jannat 2 is not a two-hero film. That’s the reason Randeep wasn’t in the know of the promotional strategy of the film because Emraan is the face of the film.”
The so-called misinterpretation of the situation has met with a considerable damage control from Kunal’s side. The director says, “Randeep is a great actor. Period. When he becomes part of a film, he adds a lot of weight to it. It is just that he has been doing a lot of offbeat films due to which he hasn’t been seen as much by the audience.”
But still he wouldn’t say why Randeep has been kept away from the promotions.
