Randeep to play an alcoholic cop

Randeep Hooda, who made a mark with his cop act in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, will be seen in the uniform yet again in Jannat 2. Only this time, he won’t play the righteous cop; instead he will be seen as a chronic alcoholic.
Bollywood has seen a slew of interesting cop acts in the recent past. An industry insider recalls, “Salman had a funny side to him in Dabangg, Ajay maintained a tough exterior in Singham, Akshay has a lot of dialogue-baazi going on in Rowdy Rathore. And now Randeep is set to offer a new twist altogether to cop acts.”
A full-fledged promo will soon be released that will establish Randeep’s character called Salim Khan. Those who have already had a glimpse of his performance are raving over how he has completely let himself loose for the role.
Director Kunal Deshmukh, however, doesn’t want to give away too much. “All I can say is that a cop like this is as interesting as it gets. He plays a quintessential Delhi cop, who is the second most important character in the film, after Emraan.”
