Is Ranveer to play his namesake?

When the makers of Pyaar Ka Punchanama released the posters of their new film, Bittoo Boss, all that was seen was a video camera lens obscuring the face of a groom beneath a wedding turban and sehra. While speculation has been rife over who the leading man actually is, there is reason to believe that it may be none other than Ranveer Singh.
“Yes, there are indications that Ranveer has given the go ahead to the project. However, everyone connected to the project is being very tight-lipped as of now,” said a source connected to the film.
Ranveer’s name came up even as news broke that none of the three actors from Pyaar Ka Punchnama will be seen in Bittoo. Ranveer’s friends however say that any news of him signing the film would be akin to jumping the gun before an official announcement is made. “Just because he was called Bittoo in Band Baaja Baraat doesn’t mean that he will be playing the title role in Bittoo,” a friend of the actor quipped.
