Ranveer’s B’town rise ‘contracted’?

The “YRF contract” has gained almost mythical proportions in B’town. No sooner does the production house sign up an actor, than rumours abound of just how many films the said newcomer would have to make with the company. Ranveer Singh is now the subject of similar speculation. After having completed two films with YRF, his refusal of several interesting offers (from other production houses), has perplexed trade pundits. Ranveer maintains that his YRF contract is not a hindrance, but the fact that he hasn’t signed on any film other than Vikramaditya Motwane’s next is a dead giveaway, say sources.
The buzz is that Ranveer’s contract with YRF binds him to seek their approval before accepting a new offer. Ranveer however, refused to comment on his contract issues. “Yes, like any newcomer, even I signed a contract with YRF. I’m their protégé and I’m positive that YRF will not hinder my growth,” he said.
