Real strategy for reel
The makers of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani seem to be heavily cashing in on the real life on-and-off love story of the film’s lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.
“What starts off as a fun-n-frolic promo ends with Deepika requesting Ranbir to stay away lest she falls in love with him...again. The key word here is ‘again’ since the world is aware of how the duo was the hottest couple in town before they went through a much hyped break up. It seems like a teasing trick by the makers,” informs a source. Insiders feel that the makers want the audience to remember how Ranbir and Deepika’s equation has changed over the years, so that they can relate to the film even more. “You never know what Karan (Johar) has in mind to market the film,” says a close associate.
Well, the real-meets-reel scenario is trump card for sure.
