Reluctant about Fundamentalist

Here’s the latest: Irrfan Khan will not be a part of Mira Nair’s adaptation of the bestseller, The Reluctant Fundamentalist. Apparently weary of spending increasing amounts of time away to pursue international projects like The Amazing Spiderman and Life of Pi, Irrfan has opted for films that let him stick close to home. Sources also claimed that the actor chose to decline the project because there was no word from Mira for a long time about its status, but Irrfan himself says it was simply because he’d done too many intense roles and was experiencing emotional fatigue. “I told Mira I needed an antidote at this stage. She understood,” says Irrfan.
