Rhea’s happy to be compared
After Parineeti Chopra and Anushka Sharma, Yash Raj Films is poised to launch yet another find, Rhea Chakraborty in a film titled Mere Dad Ki Maruti. Ask the bubbly girl, if she finds comparisons with Pari and Anushka daunting, Rhea says, “Rather than being scared, I am happy to be compared to them.
I like what Anushka and Parineeti have done so far. They are just a few years elder to me and have proved their worth. It just goes to show the quality that comes out of YRF.”
Rhea plays a Punjabi girl called Jasleen in the film that also stars Ram Kapoor, who plays the “dad” and Saqib Salim, who plays the son. Hinting a little about the plot, Rhea says, “In the film, I may not be directly connected to Saqib, his dad or his car, but at the end of the day, I am a big part of it.” She is happy with the kick-start she has got in Bollywood. “I have a three-film contract with Yash Raj. That’s a good enough start, isn’t it?” she smiles.
Let’s hope she makes it count.
