Rift rumours myth, Akki’s a bro: John
Talk about a fine bromance! After the Akshay Kumar-John Abraham pairing worked successfully in Garam Masala, many in the industry understandably expected them to team up for another film in the near future. However, it took five long years before the pair with the impeccable comic timing was offered another joint project in Desi Boyz. B’town’s wagging tongues attributed it all to Akki’s penchant for snipping the roles of his co-stars, but John has set all that speculation at rest.
“There are always rumours of rivalries and all that when two actors are cast together,” John says with his trademark candour. “But no such thing has happened with Akshay and me before or during Desi Boyz. Not just me, Akki wouldn’t do that to anyone.”
John adds, “Akshay has been like an elder brother, his behaviour is so gracious. He has guided me.”
