Rishi perfects his Punjabi accent

Even at his age, Rishi Kapoor’s professionalism remains commendable. The actor, who plays a hardcore Punjabi in Nikhil Advani’s Patiala House, seems to have left no stone unturned to get his dialect right. Though Rishi is, of course, a Punjabi himself, the language spoken in Kapoor household is young and contemporary. Rishi’s character demands an authentic dialect. So to perfect his Punjabi dialect, the actor took help from all his aunts to learn the authentic, old style of Punjabi. Only after being thoroughly prepared, he started shooting for the film. —
