Rohit gets set to direct
Having wrapped up the reality show Desi Girl a couple of weeks ago, Rohit Roy is now planning to concentrate on his directorial ventures. Currently, he is planning to direct two films, one for Balaji Motion Pictures and another for White Feather Films.
While one is an adaptation of the yesteryear hit comedy Shaukeen, the other is an intense emotional drama about a father-son relationship.
Rohit says that Amitabh Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa are on his wish list for the remake of Shaukeen. “I am planning to approach stars after the script is ready,” he says. The actor-turned-director has already got the rights for the film from Basu Chatterjee.
Rohit’s last directorial venture was Dus Kahaaniyan in 2008 in which he directed the critically acclaimed Rice Plate starring Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi.
