Rs 11 crores? Not yet for Imran
If Imran Khan’s inclusion in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2 was not shocking enough, then rumours about him being paid Rs 11 crores for the same surely were.
Considering the actor has been around in the industry for just about four years, the figure seemed rather unrealistic. However, industry insiders have just confirmed that they are far from the truth. “Imran is not getting Rs 11 crores. It doesn’t even sound practical. Yes, his films have been faring well and he is hugely popular with the youth but he needs to become more massy. Only then can he demand and fetch such a price,” says the source.
But even though it’s not Rs 11 crores, there are strong reports that the actor has been paid a magnanimous amount by the makers of OUATIM2. And that’s not all, even for Vishal Bharadwaj’s Matru Ki Bijli Mandola and Karan Johar’s untitled next film Imran has been signed up for tidy amounts. Well… this bhanja he is well on his maamu’s track.
