A sad time for Madhuri and family

Friday marked a sad moment for Madhuri Dixit’s family. The actress’ father, Shankar R. Dixit, passed away in the early hours of the morning, in his sleep. He was 91.
In the midst of the Dixit family’s grief, Madhuri took a minute to respond to enquiries about her father and confirmed his demise.
“We’ll miss him,” she admitted. “But we know he lived a full life.” She also thanked fans and Bollywood colleagues for their support during this sad time. “We want to thank all those who have offered their condolences and prayers,” Madhuri said.
