Saif goes back to roots with next film

After playing a suave international spy in Agent Vinod, Saif Ali Khan is sticking closer to home with his next film, in which he plays a detective from Bhopal.
“Saif fell in love with the city while filming Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan there, and more importantly, it is the home of his maternal grandmother, Sajida Sultan, the Begum of Bhopal,” says a friend of Saif’s.
The actor admits that the film seems like a “homecoming”. “After spending so much time in Bhopal, I thought it would make for a great setting for a crime thriller …also, it will be nice to bring in hardcore Indian sensibilities,” Saif adds.
