Saif inks an e-deal
They’re all quite tech savvy, but when it comes to conducting business, Bollywood stars and filmmakers still prefer to do it the old fashioned way. So a script narration is usually conducted over endless cups of frappe, as is signing on the dotted line for a project.
But all that may well change, with an e-deal between Saif Ali Khan and Bhushan Kumar, co-producer of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai 2.
Now, we were the first to tell you that Kareena Kapoor had to personally deliver some documents pertaining to Milan Luthria’s OUATIM2 to Saif in Istanbul as her beau was too wrapped up with his shooting commitments to make the trip back home. But that’s not all. Just last week, Saif finally “inked” the deal — only there wasn’t much “ink” involved. The deal was finalised by SMS and the finer details ironed out over the Internet as Saif was too busy with Cocktail.
“Everyone connected to the film was in and out of the country, so to save time and cut the process short, we decided to give Saif the narration over the phone and he signed and sent an e-contract back to us,” says Bhushan.
So will this trigger off a Bollywood trend?
