Saif networking with filmmakers
After becoming extra selective for a spell (no starrer of his is releasing in 2010), Saif Ali Khan is going out of his way to reconnect with his hit filmmakers who have drifted away to other heroes in the interim.
Sriram Raghavan, who directed Ek Hasina Thi with Saif, made Johnny Gaddar with Neil thereafter. But Saif and Sridhar are now collaborating on Agent Vinod. Saif’s first major hit as a solo hero was directed by Kunal Kohli (Hum Tum), who later worked with Aamir (Fanaa) and with Imran Khan (Break ke Baad). Kunal is now working on a script for Saif.
Siddharth Anand made his debut as a director in Salaam Namaste starring Saif; but after Ta Ra Rum Pum moved on to Ranbir Kapoor (Bachna Ae Haseeno and Anjaana Anjaani). Siddharth is now adapting Chetan Bhagat’s novel, Two States into a film with Saif and Priyanka. Vishal Bharadwaj, who gave Saif a meaty role in Omkara, is also planning to work with the star in his next venture, Dreams.
