Saif’s the perfect Bond, say insiders

Those who have seen the rushes of Saif Ali Khan’s ambitious spy thriller Agent Vinod can’t stop raving about the film’s stylised appeal which is clearly inspired from the James Bond classics. But more than the look and feel, what seems to be the USP of the film, according to many, is Saif’s portrayal of the Bond-esque persona.
Says a filmmaker, who has had a privileged dekko of the film, “After seeing Agent Vinod, I can say for certain that if there is someone in Bollywood who could have played this character, it is Saif. To carry off a Bond-like persona is not something everyone can do. Maybe it is royal blood at play here — call it what you will, but Saif is has got into the skin of the character. Looks like he has a winner in hand.”
But we can only tell for sure when we have a look ourselves, hopefully on March 23, according to a trusted source, who says, “This time round it’s final — in fact Saif is planning to release the theatrical trailers with either Agneepath or Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.”
This Agent sure needs to hurry up.
