Sallu calls the shots

They were never the best of friends, but not archenemies either. Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor shared a cordial relationship for the longest time until it turned sour due ladylove, Katrina Kaif. And things are only going to get a tad murkier with Salman declaring the release date for his brother Sohail’s film, Mental.

Sallu who plays the lead role in the film announced that the film will release on October 2 — the same date as Ranbir’s Besharam.
While Salman is yet to start shooting for the film, Ranbir’s film is halfway through the process. Sallu has a reputation of being unforgiving, and this might just add to the talks. After losing his ex flame Katrina to Ranbir, Salman seems to be in no mood to take another blow. “Salman has always released his films on Eid, but he’s made an exception this year. No filmmaker wants to clash dates with Salman’s releases because they are aware of the reception his movies get,” says a source.
