Salman Khan is in that stage of his career where everyone in the industry wants to work with him but it’s the man who gets to decide who he wants to work with. Grapevine has it that Salman is in talks with Yash Raj Films for their next project after Ek Tha Tiger. It’s being said that the film will be made on a grander scale than ETT.

It seems, the makers had bounced off the idea of casting their in-house favourite Anushka Sharma opposite Salman but the superstar wasn’t convinced. The other name that was suggested on the table was of Sonakshi Sinha’s who is Salman’s own protégé. But surprisingly, he shot down that name too. “Right now Salman wants his films to look different. While the creative aspect is the director’s prerogative, Salman is the one who looks into the casting. Be it directors or actors, he wants to work with new talents. I don’t think there was any personal reason to shoot down Sonakshi and Anushka’s name,” says a source.
It’s not just this YRF film that is in want of a leading lady. Salman’s other two projects – Kick and Sher Khan —- are also going through the same plight. Clearly, the man in question seems to be in no hurry. And while we wait to hear the lucky names, Anushka and Sonakshi will have to find a shoulder to cry on.
