Sallu keeps his word

Salman Khan has always maintained that he has ambitious plans for his NGO Being Human. The initiative is now all set to produce its very first Bollywood film and playing the lead role is Salman’s good friend, Govinda. It is believed to be inspired by Marathi film Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho.

“The original film in Marathi was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. When he asked Salman to act in the Hindi remake of the film, Salman turned it down but agreed to produce it,” says a source close to Khan.
The news has put to rest rumours about Salman’s alleged fall-out with Govinda. “Salman has promised Chi Chi that he would help him resurrect his career. Salman is now keeping his word. In fact it was his recommendation that helped Govinda bag roles in Nikhil Advani’s Salaam-E-Ishq and Sohail Khan’s Partner,” adds the source.
The shooting of the film will start soon after Salman wraps up brother Sohail Khan’s ongoing project, Mental. It is likely to go on floors in July.
