Sallu wants a quiet birthday

Salman Khan has much to look forward to. Firstly, his upcoming flick Dabangg 2 is touted to be a blockbuster and it happens to be his birthday month. The actor will turn 47 on December 27.

But while the world will be stationed outside his Bandra abode on the big day, Salman is hoping for a quieter celebration. Khan said that he didn’t believe in inviting the media and the aam junta to his place. “I make it a point to wave out to the people waiting to give me their good wishes. I value my fans but I can’t put up a show,” said Salman. We can’t help but wonder if that was Sallu’s way of taking a dig at his contemporaries SRK and Aamir who make quite an affair during their birthdays. Every year the superstars of the industry go out of their way to celebrate their birthdays with the media. But Salman who is always in the spotlight, prefers to be with people close to him. According to sources, Salman may have to be present in the court for the follow-up to an on-going case but that won’t deter him from celebrating his birthday with loved ones. The celebrations may become bigger if Dabangg 2 lives up to their expectations. Hmmm….we’re just wondering if Sallu’s low- profile celebrations have anything to do with the fact that he might have a court appearance to make.
