Sanjay’s redemption

Here’s a reversal of fortunes nobody would have seen coming. Sanjay Gupta, frequently accused of lifting from the West, finally has some redemption coming his way. This weekend’s big Hollywood release The Raid: Redemption may have used Sanjay’s Shootout At Lokhandwala for inspiration.
“There’s an uncanny similarity between the two films, not just in their plot, but also the treatment,” comments an industry observer. “The only difference one can notice thus far between the two films is that while Shootout featured an encounter in broad daylight, The Raid is set at night.”
The ball is now in Sanjay’s court, and one eagerly waits to see if he would press charges, something that would happen for the first time in his career. “Sanjay is yet to see the film, and may think about the next course of action after doing so,” comments a source.
