Sanju confirmed for Unglee

For over a month now the industry has been speculating on whether or not Sanjay Dutt is a part of Karan Johar’s next film Unglee. The makers did go a little back and forth regarding their decision but now Karan has confirmed the final status. “Yes, Sanjay Dutt is definitely doing the film.

The principal cast is Emraan Hashmi, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda, Kangna Ranaut and Neha Dhupia. There isn’t any lead pair — it is an ensemble cast film,” Karan says.
While this newspaper was the first to report that the film was tentatively titled Unglee, Karan has confirmed that it will remain that way. “The word ‘unglee’ has a certain significance in the film. It would be too early to talk about it in detail though,” he adds. The film, which will be directed by Rensil D’Silva of Kurbaan fame, doesn’t have a dark subject matter. “All I can say is Unglee is an youth-awakening film for sure. It is an entertainer with a social message,” Karan continues.
The film that’s slated to go on floors later this year will mark Emraan’s entry into the big league. It would also be interesting to see Sanju and Kangana working together after their bitter fallout.
