Scheduling woes hit Anushka’s plans

Anushka Sharma could have been excused for jumping with joy when she signed contracts with Vishal Bharadwaj and Yash Raj Films earlier this year, but it appears that she could have done with some better foresight. For the two contracts have put her in a soup, with shooting sequences going for a complete toss.
As per the original schedule, she was supposed to shoot for the Yash Chopra-directed film opposite Shah Rukh Khan in December, following which would come Vishal Bharadwaj’s Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola in February. Some technical issues, however, mean she might have to prioritise the latter, throwing the schedule out of gear, even as she fears rubbing her mentors the wrong way.
“YRF is my mentor. I wouldn’t say or do anything to upset them. The change in plan was the need of the hour. These are technical issues,” she said, quickly dousing the fire. “I’ll be joining Yashji’s unit in March.”
We wonder how a perfectionist like Yash Chopra has taken to this switch, especially considering he’s making a directorial comeback after ages.
