Shahid stands by Priyanka

It has been a difficult phase for Priyanka Chopra since the demise of her father Dr Ashok Chopra. Naturally, there has been a constant flood of friends, relatives and well-wishers offering condolences at the Chopra residence, including PC’s ex-beau and neighbour Shahid Kapoor.
According to eyewitnesses, the actor has been dropping by regularly to be with Priyanka during these trying times. Apparently, Shahid who has been shooting for Prabhudeva’s Rambo Rajkumar, took two whole days off from the shoot only to be with a mourning Priyanka.
“They might not be a couple anymore, but Shahid thinks very highly of Priyanka and the two share a very cordial relationship. He was just being there for a friend. It’s commendable that the two have been so mature and put the past behind them,” says our source close to the actors.
