Shahid wants to lie low now

Things may not be working out as per Shahid Kapoor’s plans, but he isn’t giving up yet. The actor has lost out on the opportunity to star in the Hindi remake of Vettai and Maneesh Sharma’s next, but he now has his hopes pinned on Prabhu Deva’s upcoming film. According to sources, Shahid has taken this rough patch in his career very seriously. “Yes, he has been keeping a low profile,” a friend admitted. “Professionally, things have been fluctuating and personally too, Shahid is under a lot of scrutiny.”
The “scrutiny” refers to the act that Shahid’s former flame Kareena Kapoor is soon to tie the knot with current beau Saif Ali Khan in a rather high profile ceremony. Sasha is clearly expecting the media to throw a few questions at him regarding what he feels about the nuptials. So he’s disappeared from the social scene as well.
“He has asked his team and other producers to make formal announcements about projects etc only after the Saifeena wedding,” our source added. Understandably, Sasha doesn’t want the focus to shift from his work to what’s in the past. Above all, he doesn’t want to have to talk about his reaction on his former girlfriend’s wedding.
Our khabru says Sasha has been planning a holiday with a bunch of friends around the same time. We have to say that’s probably a smart move. And then perhaps, he’ll be ready to make a dazzling comeback?
