A shootout in two parts

In what must be a first of its kind for Bollywood, Sanjay Gupta plans to make his upcoming film Shootout At Wadala a two-part affair. It appears that while doing his research for the film, Sanjay unearthed so much information that he felt a single film wouldn’t do justice to it. So the film will now be released in two parts.
“It’s turning out much bigger than originally envisaged. After the success of Shootout At Lokhandwala, Sanjay and producer Ekta Kapoor wanted to make something bigger and better. They have a real life story in hand, but Sanjay has unearthed quite a lot of new, shocking information,” says a source, adding that incorporating them all in one film wouldn’t be possible without making it too lengthy.
When contacted, Sanjay just said, “It’s too early to take a final call as other logistics are being worked upon. We will make a formal announcement soon.”
