...as sis takes baby steps in Bollywood

While sister Priyanka enjoys her status as the number one desi girl in Bollywood, little sister Parineeti Chopra is also ready to test the filmi waters. PC’s cousin Pari is all set to make her debut in Yash Raj Films’ Ladies versus Ricky Bahl. The film also stars Band Baaja pair Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma.
Incidentally, Parineeti was already working with YRF’s marketing department when she was offered the chance to audition for the film. Director Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra were so impressed that they immediately cast her for the role. She plays one of the many women who fall prey to the smooth talking Ricky Bahl of the title.
While the debutant herself is very excited (she tweeted ‘Have signed a three film deal with Yash Raj Films, I am so excited’), Priyanka is also ensuring her cousin gets all the support she needs. “Pari worked on my film Pyaar Impossible and I’m so glad that she has been signed on with YRF. She has my best wishes,” said PC.
Going by Maneesh’s praise of the debutante, Pari may just go a long way in Bollywood. “Parineeti was phenomenal in her video test,” says Maneesh. “I had no doubts that I wanted her in my film. In fact, when I worked on the script, I had her at the back of my mind, having interacted with her while she was with YRF.”
