Much has been written about Sonakshi’s trip from flab to fab in her pre-Dabangg days. However, there have been reports that Sonaksi is trying to lose even more weight for her upcoming projects. In fact, her mother Poonam was also motivating her to get into shape.

Now Sonakshi herself has confirmed that she is trying to work her way to being the “fittest best” she can be. She says that with the sort of work that has accumulated on her plate post-Dabangg, she wants to ensure that her fitness is at an all-time high, so that nothing comes between her and work.

Sonakshi, however, isn’t aiming for a size zero figure. “For me, it is important to be fit,” explains Sonakshi. “I control my diet and never miss my training. My trainer chalked out a plan that’s high on variety. I have always been a sports person so exercising isn’t a big deal for me. It was only after I got into fashion designing, I didn’t bother about my weight.”

Currently busy shooting for Shirish Kunder’s Joker, Sonakshi says her perspective on fitness has undergone a change: “The weighing machine has become my friend. I have realised that eating healthy is a prerequisite for a good life, so I have stopped binging. But that doesn’t stop my brothers from teasing me when they’re hogging on some delicacies and I just have to watch!”
