Sonakshi out of Salman camp?

SONAKS~1.jpg

Everybody knows how Sonakshi Sinha was mentored by Salman Khan and how the latter gave her career the right kickstart with Dabangg. She was even made the brand ambassador of the Celebrity Cricket League’s team Mumbai Heroes. And the cherry on the cake was the massive success of Dabangg 2. But now it looks like Sona’s days in paradise are numbered.

According to close sources, it is Kangna Ranaut and not Sonakshi, who will be the face of Sohail Khan’s team Mumbai Heroes. Word has it that Sona wasn’t even aware that she had been axed. The Dabangg girl has been the face from the team right from its inception. While CCL has confirmed that Sona is no more on board, it is the actress who seems to be completely in the dark about the ouster. Her spokesperson said, “From what we know, Sona continues to be a part of the tournament.”
Last year, Sonakshi was missing in action at the grand opening ceremony of the tournament in Sharjah and also at several match venues in India. At that time it was being said that Sona was at loggerheads with Kangna, who was also a part of Mumbai Heroes. Both of them wanted to be seen solo, with Salman who had assured the two, that they would be playing equal roles in the team’s publicity. The tussle had ended with Sona backing out from the matches. This year, however, it’s a clean field for Kangna. Some sources are still not ruling out the possibilities for Sona. “She may join a little late, we are yet to sort out the contract,” says a source. We all know what that means.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
