Sonakshi versus Kajol?

Not too long ago there were rumours about how Sonakshi Sinha may not have been the first choice for Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar. The news reports also alleged that the director of the film Ashwini Dhar had first approached Ajay’s wife Kajol to play the female lead in the film. It was even said that Kajol had turned down the offer to play a dedicated homemaker and suggested Sonakshi’s name instead.

These talks have been irking those associated with the film no end. Finally they have issued a clarification that states, “The team always had Sonakshi in mind for the role. She was the first one to be approached and gave the nod immediately. News about any other actress being approached for the role is absolutely untrue.”
That just might be possible because, despite her box office successes, not many would agree that Sonakshi is ready to step into Kajol's shoes.
